This family welcomed their newest addition during a newborn in-home lifestyle session with a posed add-on! They may look familiar because they have been a DHP family for 5 years now and have entrusted their memories to me from their days as a couple, through their first pregnancy and little lady and now the second! 

In my experience, photo sessions become much easier for each family member when they work with the same person over and over because there is a trust and familiarity factor for the camera shy adults and the littles that may feel a little unsure at first.

When arriving for newborn sessions, there is always a lot happening as families are transitioning from the hospital to the early newborn days running on little sleep and a whole lot of prayer! Oftentimes this looks like me getting a tour from dad and letting siblings sit and watch me prep my gear for the shoot. Involving them in this process helps them get comfortable with another new person in their own space.
