There is so much to explore here no matter who you are.

The life of a Downers Grove Newborn Photographer is pretty sweet! This family followed all my prep guidance and created a backdrop in the space they wanted to use for their newborn photos. We mainly used their living room, stairway and front bay window. Perhaps you want to use your primary bedroom, nursery and front porch. It can be one space or it can be multiple. We go with the flow and love on baby’s toes as seen below!

Big brother is so sweet and was navigating all the big feelings that new siblings and toddler boys have! He wanted to play with his trucks and all the Tupperware from the kitchen. When we have siblings, especially toddler siblings, we try to get any images we want with them done between the time they finally feel comfortable with me being there and the time they hit their limit. They don’t have the stamina to participate in the length of the session…most of the time…nor is it developmentally appropriate. Have a lot of grace with your toddlers and all children. It’s really helpful if we are able to do maternity photos together before with your family because it allows us to get to know each other better.

While I know newborn families are running on less sleep than usual, there are a few things they can do to help ensure the photos meet (or exceed) their expectations!

Thank you B family for welcoming me into your home and providing a backdrop for creativity to blossom!
