How are you doing? I mean, how are you really doing? If you’re like me, it feels like we’ve been sheltering in place for a while now and as much as I resisted at first, it now seems like I’m settling into this “new normal”. I find myself answering with “I’m fine” or “Hanging in there!” when others ask how I’m doing, even on the days when that’s far from the truth. So if you’re feeling burdened today, I’m here to remind you that it’s okay to not be okay. Reach out to someone you trust to chat, go for a walk, or just close your eyes and take some deep breaths. We’re in this together and the struggle is real, as they say. But I promise you that if you take even one of these small steps, it can help you reset and prioritize your well-being in the midst of the uncertainty that is all around us.
Speaking of putting our health and wellness first, we here at DHP are bringing you our favorite, simple recipes that have become our go-tos during this current season of sheltering-in-place. I know I’m not alone when I say that meal planning can be hard enough, but now with limited groceries and perhaps even more limited trips to the store, we’ve all had to be a bit more creative in the kitchen. The recipes you’ll see here use ingredients that you probably have on hand, and they’re also nourishing and delicious! See something you might like?
