It was time to finally venture through downtown for some Hinsdale family photos! It was a warm and humid Friday evening with possible storms. This didn’t stop this adventurous family from getting their annual photos done. We’ve done many of the other local spots and thought it would be nice to switch it up for this year. I’d been waiting for just the right session to explore this quaint little downtown area and they nailed it!

They are always up for having fun and trying things out. This was my first time capturing family photos in this little alleyway and they turned out well!

Downtown Hinsdale

When choosing locations for my sessions, I’m looking for a few things:

• How large or small the crowds are
• Unique backdrops
• Lighting…most people don’t realize how important this is…in fact, I’ll prioritize lighting over backdrops!
• Space to move

The laughter of these two little bugs was contagious and I am so grateful to be able to spend time with them each year!

I’m grateful that they trusted me to get this gorgeous blue wall even when it meant walking through some alleyways to get there.
