When mom reached out and requested a creek maternity photos, I may have done a little happy dance! I’ve wanted to do creek photos for as long as I’ve had my business. Other business responsibilities and life kept me from scheduling it!

We met up one summer morning to bright sunshine and quite a bit of heat. It was good we were going to cool down in the creek! It was our first time meeting and we had a little bit of a walk to the creek. When I tell you that I instantly felt comfortable around them and like we could chat for hours and become friends, I am not exaggerating. I do think that when you are choosing a photographer, you need to find someone that matches your personality. You can tell a lot from their about page so be sure to check that out before hiring someone.

Our time was focused on splashing around and allowing me to document what a little trip into nature for their family looks like on the weekends. Then we spent a little time doing some more traditional maternity photos. I really loved having the mix of photos to deliver because I do think that sometimes we can get so caught up in our photos looking like what we think others think they should instead of just what we want them to look like and what is authentic to us and our family.
