This sweet, new DHP family had quite the introduction to family photos with me! The original location mom had chosen for their session ended up having homecoming festivities so we switched locations. Then there was a torrential downpour the day of their session. Mom wanted to go for it so I packed up the gear and started off on my journey to meet them. It hadn’t been raining by them but as I made my way to the spot, I could barely see the car in front of me there was so much water pouring down from the sky!

When I arrived, there was not a drop of rain coming down so we efficiently walked through the park and captured amazing memories to display in their home. At our final spot, it started raining so we made the mad dash to our cars before the heavens let loose again. Whew!

This family was filled with an amazing calm and joy despite the conditions that preceded their session…even the dog was cool as a cucumber. From the moment mom reached out, I could tell that family meant everything to them and that was confirmed as soon as I arrived and we met in person.
