Summer Family Photos include a lot of beautiful light (especially at sunset) and the weather is much more predictable! This family session was in late July and it was just glorious. A light breeze swept through the air as the setting sun graced the grounds of this beautiful Hinsdale location.

We frolicked about and little Miss E was a champ at almost bedtime. She laughed and giggled while her parents breathed in her joy!

Summer family photos are not always as popular as fall which blows me away because galleries are delivered quicker, weather reschedules are less likely and the setting sunlight creates the most beautiful glow!

This little lady is ready to take flight and was just the smiling beauty all throughout our session!

This family photo is definitely one that would look great on a canvas on the mantle in their home!

Such a sweet snuggly little girl! I love the way her parents are fully present with her and how much joy she brings to their lives!

Children tend to feed off their parents and other family members when doing something like family photos. Here are some things you can do to ensure you are ready and calm leading up to your session:

• preparing outfits a week or two ahead and laundering/getting dry cleaning done
• laying everything out in a safe place as soon as it is ready
• get any haircuts or nails done a week in advance
